slowest speed prop to learn with
Looking for the slowest speed prop to learn to fly this plane with
I am no noobie just fly slow . Is a 6x4 best or other suggestions. I usually only fly at half throttle |

APC makes a 6.5x2.9 prop.
That ought to fill your need, plus it has more thrust for good vertical. |

Since the sun is up only between 9am and 3pm this time of the year around here, I had to put some "high visibility clothes" on the wing tips of "Mojito". Enhances tracking and makes it easier to find if buried in snow. The MEGA 16/25/2EC will have an APC 7x4Sport on 4S to make the job easier for the over-cooled LiPos during winter....

Been flying with the 7x5 all year - except for the very first flights (Mojito video on vimeo).
Climbing is excellent with both, and it has been too long since I flew it with 7x4 to say which is the best climber. 7x4 is back on now and will be flown during winter to ease the load on the cold lipos... |

Arctery,
I like the idea of easing the load on the cold Lipos. I know you are in extreme cold climate. Do you also tape up/block the air passage inlet of your hatch? Thanks Gryphon |

Yes. Duct tape is always handy
It's better to give up some top speed than risking premature LVCO. |

Awesome.
Now work on a Lipo powered R/C suit to warm you up while in the cold. At least heated gloves and underwear. Gryph |

From a recent post in a Norwegian forum: This guy had invested some in a 2kW radiation heater to keep him warm during winter flights, but found it to be a bit more effective than he anticipated |
