Hi Jim,

It seems that using one ESC to power twin brushed motors can be safer.

Hi Voodoo,

There have been two kinds of Green applied by GWS for the coloured version kits of this great bird. They were dark green and army green. Could you tell what green it was or the item number marked on the kit box ?

haven't flown mine for about 6 months but took it out today and what a great flyer! Landings are so easy on this compared to my other planes. Great job GWS. Hope you can start producing some new planes in the near future.

Hi Voodoo,

We basically applied Patone 385U for the dark green, and Patone 356U for the other green. But we added a little black and brown into them for the two colours we applied on the two coloured versions.

Hi chen,

I just wondered if you could suggest a CG point for a good balance on this plane. It seems that I have lost the instructions, cant find it. Any help would be appreciated because my plane is now ready for maiden, but without a proper CG I wont fly her.

Mine is OK balanced right at the fiberglass tube. In between the tube and the wiring trench might be good for maiden flight.

Thank you, I will try that CG point for the maiden. I have put lots of work in this one and with 450watts she should fly nice too, I would hate to crash her on the maiden.

I just checked the manual and measured according to the picture. Recommended range is 75 to 85 mm back from the where the rounded fillet ends and meets the straight leading edge of the wing. This puts 80mm right on the tube.

Best luck, blue sky.

GWS P-38 is still one of MY favorites. I've flown and eventually crashed two of them (my fault) and I have three more to assemble. They sound awesome running BL motors when they fly by.
