Molding the nose is the most fiddly part... Might be just as well off to do it in a tapered square. I could have had it together a long time ago...

I'm going to go ahead and seal it up, then cut the pockets and a door for the equipment.

No reinforcement (carbon or skewers) needed for fanfold... planty strong at this span and weight

Should be flying soon!

Thanks for your very welcome comments, Gene!

I will change the plans asap. Might even add a tapered square nose option.

Here's the pictures...

Got the maiden in today Flies great!

I wound up using a Tower Pro 2406 w/ a 7x4 prop on 3s830's... ZOOM!

Final AUW was 7.5oz.

The video says it all. Wide speed range, control down to verly low speed, no real pitch sensitivity at speed, just perfect!

Nice video Gene! Looks like proper has another winner. Are you going to mod it for rudder?

Probably not. It really doesn't need it, except at very low speed, high alpha. I can't see it being a great 3D plane, so won't bother.

Nice video Gene!! Thanks for the plans Prop-er!! I like the slow speed stability of the delta.

Top job, Gene. Looks absolutely stunning (as always)! Great flying! And take a good look at the nice round nose, cause that's where the building hours have been spent...

Did the CG shown on the plan worked out for you?

The plans update is scheduled for this weekend.

Yep, that flight was with your suggested CG, which put the pack right against the former. I see no reason to change it! I am going to open a hole on the bottom-rear, to let a little cooling air through.

Thanks again for your work!

Sqwarshed the nose after 5-6 great flights this weekend... Helpful hint, *Don't adjust/program your radio while doing an inverted parchute!* Eventually, you run out of altitude

BTW, it does (did) really cool looking inverted parchutes... Hope it will again!

Thx for the hint

Haven't heard about an inverted parchute figure yet. How does it look like?
Will update the plans soon. Really. Maybe this afternoon.

Inverted Parachute is super-simple!

1. Fly inverted
2. Decrease throttle while holding elevator to maintain attitude
3. Go all the way!
4. Watch it float down (almost) vertically, and control the glide with aileron or rudder.
5. Power-up before you run out of altitude!

It's cool when entered from a spinning dive, or even a rolling vetical climb!

Prop-er, what a great Idea! I love the odd stuff!!! congratulations!
must be a cool little sport-aerobatics plane!

Congrats also to Gene. The model looks great (as always!).

Can glue better than fly!
Definetly cool !! Looks like it can easily confuse you with it's orientation. A variable pitch prop could even confuse more!
Love the inverted parachute, my favorite is going into from vert climb way up then just cut throt. then fall flat all the way down.
