Schulze 18.46K v7.02 - so far, so good!

Today I had the opportunity to fly a fellow pilot's brand new Logo 10! Its equipped pretty much like GWRIGHT recomends:

Hacker B50-11L motor
Schulze 18.46K ESC v7.02 (More on this below)
15 tooth pinion
Futaba 3102 servos
Futaba GY401/9253
12 cell CP2400 pack

We only had the opportunity for 1 flight. But what I can say is that the heli is SMOOTH! He did an EXCELLENT job building the heli and the wood blades were near dead on in balance - tracking wasnt even needed! Motor has gobs of power, duration seemed around 5 minutes. We're still trying to get the 401 set up right, along with better throttle/pitch curves and it will be perfect. But the main reason for this post is to say the Schulze 18.46K is working perfectly. No failures on the first run up as reported with versions built prior to 7.02 (Like my 5.02, stuck in customs for upgrade, arg). Hopefully this weekend or Monday we'll get some real stick time on it! Power is there for some serious acro, but this is his next step up from the Corona and I think he'll need a few flights on it before the training gear come off and he flips it inverted

Is everyone else having luck with their newer or updated 18.46Ks?

Fred -

You can never flip a lady over on the first date - its just not gentleman-like!

As long as Eric is up to it and the set up is right, she'll be on her back in no time flat. This is one rock solid leccy! All those years flying ECO 8s, Whispers, EP Concepts and Voyagers never prepared for that kind of quality and flight performance.

Thats why I had to buy the 20 too

Hiya Jason,

So,,,Eight months ago, when I went on and on about how much better than my Voyager it was (here and Voyager/Yahoo), you "V-guys" said,

-"everybody thinks that the heli they've invested in is best"

-"Well, I've made MY Voyager fly every bit s good"

-"he's just a paid stooge"

-"everyone flocks to the new heli like a bunch of lemmmings"

Bitter? I'm not bitter!

I really hope that you get a chance to fly yours soon!

15T pinion on the 11T motor? That seems a bit too much. How hot are the motor and batteries after the flight? 13T is the way to go.

I tried some 14 cells today on my B50-13L motor, and I've decided to convert all my packs to 14 cells. The power is excellent, and the added weight actually made the heli more stable in hover. With CP2400 packs I get about 6 minutes.

Hope you'll get yours going soon Jason. It's been months since you got the heli! I'm still waiting for my ESC for the Logo 20 as well. on to 6th week now...
