Anyone am idea what's wrong
When I bought my 2 Picco Z's I found that one flew perfectly out of the box, and the other absolutely not. But due to the fact that i look for some real Silverlit Picco's here for more than 2 months, and when I finally found someone still selling them, I bought the last two. So I didn't want to bring it back. Better to have a not good flying one, than to have none. Even if it's only for spare parts.
Nevertheless, back to the story. The bad one had heavy vibrations and flew just in every direction, always changing -> completely unsteerable. So I balanced the blades (were very unbalanced). Did the main rotor hinge axe play correction as described by Alexander (had quite a big play). When I then flew again, the vibrations were gone, but it always flew to the right. I mean it flew to the right, it didn't turn to the right. So I looked at the left right CG, and saw, that it wasn't correct. So I added some weight on the left side, so that the left/right CG was now perfectly centered. Now it wobbled left/right (not turning!) at a rate of about 2-4Hz. Then I added additional weight to the left, so that now the CG is to the left, and not centered. Now it flies completely straight!!! Finally. But the weird thing is, that although the helicopter now hovers perfectly, without tending to fly to one side, the main rotor (+flying bar) is absolutely not horizontal in flight!! In flight the main rotor's right side is much lower than the left side. I think that's the reason why I have to move the CG so much to the left side, to counteract the right movement due to the angle of the rotor. Now I'm puzzled! What is the reason for this? And how can I get a good flight without having to add quite a big amount of weight (1.5g) at the end of the left landing gear? Any idea, suggestion or help would be warmly welcome. |

Here's a mod to the transmitter to use AA rechargeables. These batteries are 1.2V instead of 1.5V (regular). So, I added a seventh battery in series to raise the voltage to 8.2 V. for charging. The battery holder (Radio Shack 270-401) is a perfect match and almost looks like it belongs there. I sanded the surfaces and used epoxy glue. Two connections must be soldered. To use the regular cells, just place a jumper in the new holder.

You need to add this to the Piccoz Toolbox site.

I recently purchased a picooz, it is my first rc/ir heli, after aprox. 30 minutes of flying
it has picked up a bad habit of flying only in circles and not taking off of the ground more than a few inches. if anyone has any advise to help a beginner i'd apreciate it. thanks |

Ok, found the cyclic head vid. Interesting.
Anyone else notice there are 2 sets of the same vid "4ChannelPiccoZflight5". There are 5 in the series, but they are in the same room, same limbo and posted under 2 different names, Fuginawa and MarioArguello? I can only guess what the answer is. Vid cloning! Now that, is brilliant. Using the shaft as a trasistor for an actuator, brilliant, nothing but brilliant.
