Good for beginners

I want to get my girlfriend's son started in the hobby. He's 5. What would you suggest?

at 5 you want to make sure you have a buddy box and a high wing trainer that is real forgiving

get the plane up for him and then switch on the trainer box.

simulator and an aero-ace, or a chuck glider, kite, boomerang - leave RC until he's mastered that sort of thing

SIMULATOR, FMS (Flying Model Simulator) It's free and you can add a cable and a transmitter when he starts really getting it. Then go for a wing.
