Morback 4D

Seems very much like the Arrow
http://www.pauzuolis-rc.com/stories/...row-video.html.
Wonder if the size is about the same. Hope when I get the nerve it flies good. Will test in normal flight until I get comfortable than 4D if it has the power. Ron

Looks Great!

That is coming out with a low weight. That's great! My Morback Mid Prop AUW is 7.4 ozs. which is approx 207 grams. all made from EPP and Depron side bracing.

I'm planning to fly F3P with it.

Setup is probably going to be;

-Strecker 195.03
-CC10
-D47S
-Hyperion 2s 300.

That'll be a very nice setup. Fancy motor!
Are those the VX300 Hyperion cells? What do you think of them?
I have some packs I used for a while and was I happy with the performance but they didn't last long. I overdischarged them slightly a few times due to a dodgy ESC which was probably the cause.

Best of luck with the Morback.

Because I'm going to train this week,I've ordered another setup.

*Hyperion Z1705-14 with 7x3.5 prop.
*Dymond Smart 10
*Three times D47
*2S 300 Flightpower the purple one.

A friend of mine has got the Hyperion 300 Vx series.
The batteries are pretty good, but for longtime storage they won't last long.
You've got to treat them wel otherwise they won't survive.

Can someone tell me where the CG of the Morback is?
Planning first flight on wednesday or thursday.

The Hyperion Z1705-11 works really well with the 7x3.5 prop, however may be a bit too much current for those small cells.

www.slowflyer.ch ran some tests on the Hyperion Z1705

Translation

Can anyone help to translate German directs to English? I have a German model and can't understand the directions. This will look like a Pizza when done. Maybe I can email it. Thanks Ron

I think the post #152 http://forum.modelisme.com/viewtopic.php?id=94300&p=16 says that the CG should be at 40% of the chord for the Morback 4D. I guess it should be similar for the F3P version.

I only speak english, perhaps someone else can look at this.

I think post #11 http://forum.modelisme.com/viewtopic.php?id=103830&p=2 is talking about the CG for the F3P version of the Morback.

You can try Google language tools http://www.google.com.au/language_tools?hl=en but the translation is not very good.

I've just finished my Morback.
The only thing to do is waiting for my Schulze Alpha 435 and install it.
Tomorrow evening i'm going to fly the plane for the first time.My brother will come with me and take some photos and maybe even a video.

Which model?
The point of this thread is to make available plans for scratch building.
Designers will not usually want the plans distributed for planes that are being commercially produced so it's unlikely any plane you see here is available as a kit.
