Jiffy,

That is the Manta and will be available as a kit from http://www.mamo-models.com/ . Armin posted, back in April, that it would be available here in the USA in about 10 weeks but I think they ran into some snags and as far as I know it is not out yet. From the videos that I have seen it would be a good choice on model.

There are several basic plans posted in this forum since these planes are so easy and cheap to build that lots of us are trying our own designs.

Here's a few threads to look at in no particular order:

Ultra light Yak-54
Sentinel (not sure if he posted a plan)
F3X
Breeze
Unnamed (this is my one - as yet untested, I'm waiting for calm weather or a hall!)

I think there were also some others posted that I haven't listed. The F3P forum is still small enough to browse easily so you should be able to find any plans that've been posted.
There might be one or two other plans available like the Knuffel for example (do a search for the site).

Just thinking... It might be a good idea to put a sticky thread at the top of the F3P forum containing links to plans either posted by forum members or available elsewhere online.

What do you think?

Aidan,

I think that is an excellent idea.

A very good idea.

"I wish I had thought of that" etc.

The "F3P Plans" sticky is in place. Add what you can!

Jiffy,

I notice Tim posted the Brio Foamy in the 3D forum so I've sent him a PM to see if he thinks it's suitable for F3P. I'd prefer to post only designs intended for or suitable for F3P rather than general purpose indoor designs. That said the Brio looks like it might be suitable.

No. It is a kit and the designer does not want the plan freely distributed (said so somewhere, months ago).
