1.2 GHz Wireless Video Polarity? Reverse-Polarity Protected?

Hi all,

I have a 1.2 GHz wireless video system which has a female RCA patch for 9V input to the Tx and what looks like a 1/8" jack for 9V input to the Rx. Problem is I don't know what the polarity should be, nothing stated on the data sheet and no polarity markings on the product.

What is the typical polarity for these devices (keeping in mind that this is a Chinese import, if that makes a difference), and are these things typically reverse-polarity protected?

Foolproof mathod to make sure? Hook up the battery and stick the contacts from your voltmeter onto the plug. Both my micro cameras had positive inside the plug and negative on the outside.

Not usually reverse protected, so be careful.
