Dave Blum designs. Who's kitting them now?

Now that I have a mess of brushless 12mm motors I'm interested in some of Dave Blum's designs. I have the C-180 from Mountain Models. I know Aerolock was selling the BD-5 and I believe the C-182 short kits but if I remember right they closed shop. The website no longer exists. Is anyone else short kitting them now?

Joe, I'm doing them myself. Still short kits but all plastic and carbon is included, as well as full size plans. Just the 182, BD5, and little 185 available now, but more shortly. E-mail me for more info: spuners@nc.rr.com

Dave,

I gotta have a BD-5. Sending e-mail now. You have to promise me some info on the 0V-10 though.

How exciting to hear Dave is kitting them. Class act he is. Have the 182
What a perfect plane that is. If all the plastic is now included even better as the (do it from scratch) thing was murder.

Just ordered my BD-5 kit. Now leave him alone guys. He needs peace and quiet to work on getting his newest idea into production. Seriously, can you just imagine how sweet a Dave Blum OV-10 would be? A Cessna 310. A Duchess. A Bonanza twin etc..... Any twin for that matter. Maybe even (shoot for the sky) a C-130 or a P-3 Orion.

I'm hoping if I suck up enough I'll be able to buy an early production version of whatever he comes up with next.

Thanks Jonboy!

I've received a few e-mails wanting to know what I have available so here's the rundown. Right now I have for IPS power a Cessna 182 and a BD5. These will weigh in the 6.5 to 9 oz range depending on equipment. They are called "short kits" but really all you provide is some stripwood and wire, and wheels in the case of the 182. The 182 is $50 and the BD5 is $55.

For LPS power I have a very simple Cessna 185. 25" span and around 2.8 oz. It's a great travel plane and front yard flyer. Cost is $25. I also hope to have my little Chipmunk for IPS power available shortly.

As for plans I have the Jellybean pattern plane, you can e-mail me for them.
I also have plans for an IPS powered Airtractor cropduster and Hacker powered T38 Talon. These two plans are not finished with construction notes and such but you can build from them.

IAMAN, I would like to kit the Airtractor but I promised the design to another company. I'm not sure what they're doing with it but if nothing happens I will do it myself.

lensrc, the Jellybean would be very easy to kit but I wanted to do some development work for different power combos. It's a lot of fun with the Hacker in it but it weighs 19oz. I'd like to try some small outrunners to come up with a 10 to 12 oz package.

I hope to get to all of them as time allows.

Drool.....I'll take one of these too! Hmmm..16" props. I'd better find a bigger park to fly this one in.

Dave,
How about that Cessna Caravan you built awhile back.
Will you ever offer it as a kit? I would sure like one.

Sounds like a plan!
