Your Mini SpeedWing Pictures

I'm building a web site (not up yet) with online ordering at this address: http://speedwing.net It has secure online ordering via PayPal.

I'm making a section for modelers Mini SpeedWings. I'd appreciate your pictures or even videos of your MSW's and a few sentences on your opinion of the Mini SpeedWing. You can just post here if you like. For videos, post them at Silent Flight Online so that I can upload them to my computer, once my site is up you can upload them there.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks everyone. A correction, my site is http://speedwing.net not .com I just edited the post. Thanks

BYFLYER1151, did you request one on the Egroups site? I notified a BYFLYER there. I'm very sorry, I must have gotten the names confused because they are very similar. I can ship you a kit this Monday. I'll email you the ordering information.

What's a good motor upgrade for the SW? I love mine, just wish it had more of a kick. 280BB? Too heavy?

People have been putting the GWS Ducted Fan replacement motor on their Mini SpeedWings. It is the same size as the EDP 50XC, but turns much faster. I've heard that it makes the plane climb out at a 60 degree angle. The motor costs $10.00

Awesome Plane

The kit goes together real quick. I had many problems with the GWS 4P receiver in that it glitched whenever the plane was 25 yards out. I finally yanked it out and put in a 555 receiver and no problems to date but has added some weight.

AUW 6.5 oz with HS-55 and Qualcomm Lithiums. I have routinely gotten 30+ minute flights by taking is up and gliding it down.

My only mod is to put the servos on top and put a CF strip on the keel. This has prevented the motor mount from breaking. I have yet to break a prop as the prop protector works terrific.

One comment, during the setup and still occasionally, I will do some wild acrobatics close the ground and pile it into the ground at full throttle. The plywood keel has prevented any major damage.

It takes a beating and keeps on flying!
