$1400.00 for a basic F-86 kit is not realistic here!!!

EDF all the way!

Try EJF.com It's smaller but also less expensive.

I'm sure BVM would sell you just a fuselage, shouldn't be more than $800 or so

That sounds like a familiar name with a fibreglass f-86 project some years ago? He may be the fella i was thinking of? Does he sell a FG fuse?

Yes but it is MUCH smaller - 300 sq. inches. Wonderful flying plane BTW.

Hi

Give an email to modelflight in Australia, they sell an F86 slope soarer about 50" ws, foam wing cores and very light fibreglass fuse. Request some pictures to be emailed - it's not advertised on their web pages.

I have one I am having converted to EDF.

The Jet Hangar fuse is also 50" if you order a short kit you'll get the epoxy fuse, clear canopy, plans, foam cores and hardware minus I believe just the wood. It has been adapted for glow, turbine, EDF and slope flying and can also convert to the FJ Fury shown here is Larrys personal jet still hanging in his shop with a Wren in it these days!

For Info Take a look at these threads

For the EJF F-86
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=217252

For the JHH F-86
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=400247

The JHH Thread also has the EJF F-86 sitting right next to the JHH F-86 for comparison.

I have both, just call me lucky

If you have any questions post them or PM me

- Ken
