Twister,
Post the question in the Batteries and Chargers formum and you'll get more charger opinions than you can shake a stick at. My guess is they'll say that you should step up to the $70 range as a minimum. The Parkzone balancing charger for $29.00 is pretty good considering that it does have a balancing lead. Model PKZ1040. But it's DC (cigarette lighter plug) , slow, and no read-out. I recently upgraded to the Triton EQ, but it's in the $120 range. Good luck.

Turnigy Accucell 6 is very well liked and only $37. Even with shipping it should be about $50. I have an Accucell 8 that is just a higher powered version as I like to parallel charge. Very easy to use and will charge any battery chemistry. www.hobbycity.com RT

That is a bit big. I am using a blue wander 1500 kv. And a GWS 7060 with a 610 3c batt. You can get the motor and the esc at Hobby City. I think the esc I have is a 10 amp. I would have to look at it to see. But hope this will help you out.

New Dragon

Built another one, little MP Jet outrunner 760-D, Graupner 8X6 prop, 8 amp Jeti ESC ,and Hitec HS-55's. All up wgt w/ 850 MAH lipo is around 10 oz. This is one nice slowflyer, that will handle wind great, and great MPG on the batts.

Not a good choice. I recommend something in the 1oz range with 1300-1500kv. Immediate examples would be the blue wonder, or the customcdr cool wind.

It would fly with that motor but you would be missing out on what the plane is designed to do.

I had this motor, The 2712-17 is a '300 class' 1700KV, it a little higher kv then you recommened but I think it will be OK with 7" prop.

If thats it then its a good choice. You can run an 8x4 but it does get hot. With throttle management the 8x4 will do but caution should be taken. It may not sustain long full throttle flights. This is assuming your running 3s.

Check near the bottom of that link and it shows different props/performance.

The Suppo 2208-12T 1800Kv motor works fine on my Raven which has a similar layout to the Swift.. It weighs 1.27 oz or 36g about 120W on a 3S lipo.

I use a 6X4 Apc prop , 18A esc , Corona 4 Ch rx with Azarr mini Aerial and 2 x Esky 7.5g digital servos. AUW with a 1000mA Loong Max 3s battery is 324g

I would have thought you would need to keep your Swift pretty light to use a 1500-1700Kv BW

This my no name version
