I haven't tried the Rhino yet but I have had decent results with the Zippy's.

I was just checking it out and my control surfaces are moving smoothly. I did let it sit upside down with the elevons folded under for a night, it helped loosen them up.

18A @ 204w with 8x6 GWS HD prop
Hmm, no so sure my 15A esc is going to like this 8in prop.

14.6A @166w with 8x4 GWS HD prop
That's better.

She will still move ok at 166w?
I'll weigh it in soon.

I hope it will fly ok at 166w...I don't think my set up will be over 100 . I'm not done yet but it looks by tossing everything on the scale I should be just under 10 ounces.

Say, did any of you guys have any trouble getting the motor mount properly centered?

I dont want to end up cementing it down and now the motor always pushes just a little bit left. Ya know?

I glued mine down last night. I just lined up the diamond shape with the seam down the middle. It looks straight, the prop is the same distance from the wing on both sides anyhow.

I just realized this morning that I kind of screwed up. I slid the motor as far forward as I could and still have clearance for a 7" prop. I checked the balance and it worked out great so I glued it. Now for the dumb part...I don't have my wingtips glued on . I may end up having to add a little dead weight in the nose now to get it balanced. Oh well you live and you learn.

Yeah, it really is. Ill likely do the same n mine. But wheres the ESC? I would suspect that its somewhere in the battery/receiver compartment.

I'm also waiting till the very last minute to attach my wingtips. Being able to just toss it around and turn it upside down while working on it is a necessity.

Is the tape not sticking very well on you guys foam as well? Packing tape is useless and even the 'clear' duct tape can be peeled right off.

Prep the foam with 3M 77 or UHU creativ/ Por and tape will stick no problem...

That is one big hole in the foam Smoke... I hope you have got some plan to beef the front of wing up...
