Swift II
Thought you guys would like to see this. This is my swift and did a batt cover for it. I have had this wing for a while and hated the way it flys. But Giggs helped me put a different motor on it and change the battier on it and now I think it is a keeper. I had to big of a motor on it and the battier also. So it did not fly well at all. Describing it as a swift on crack would be the good term for it. But Diggs and I took it and tried it out this evening and things went well. I made a cover for the batt slot to keep it neat and it turned out ok I think.
Thats it for now. More Trim |

Cheep CG tool
This is a good thing to have in the shop. I made it out of some scrap mdf board I had. I put some Velcro on the base and the rods to make it easy for storage.
So for anyone that needs a cg tool here ya go, easy to make and it works great |

Hey guys,
I just recently obtained a Swift II and thought I would share my setup. HobbyCity 1700kv brushless motor- http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=5208 10A generic ESC 7x6 HD GWS prop x2 HS-55 servos Outrage 3S 450mah 25C lipo GWS 4ch RX The RTF weight with this setup is around 8.6oz. To get the proper C.G. I had to add a slight amount of nose weight (> 15 grams) in the form of screws. I believe the C.G. is spot on as it doesn't pull or push during the dive test. It also glides very, very well. The power to weight ratio is insane, at 3/4 throttle the Swift will do unlimited vertical and at full throttle... I have yet to put it on my watt meter but I know it's drawing less than 10 amps. After a 10 min. flight with constant throttle usage the battery and ESC are only slightly warm, the motor is cool to the touch. The only thing I'm going to change in the future is the lipos. I'm looking at something like a 3S 20C 610mah so I can remove the nose weight. I am extremely happy with this power setup and would recommend it to anyone |

Yea you can do so. It is possible to do it. I need to figger out how to do the same thing. Diggs has a batt he wants to do the same thing with. I need to ask him if he has figgered it out. And I can give you some enfo on it.
