Why we should have a B17

Dear Mr Lin

I'm all for a Lancaster as an early project for GWS but take a look at this

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=539327

Maybe I could settle for a B17 after all.............

I agree. That would be a nice follow up to the C-47...

I had a look at the vid and have to agree. It is superb. But let's not get carried away folks. Get a professional to make a vid of, say, a "Mossie" and add theme music from the film 633 Squadron. Effect would be the same.

The only time I can ever remember a hangar being emptied completely and speedily at an Air Display was when a Mossie did a landing break. Yup, a single Merlin is superb, 4 sync'd is even better but two Merlins is pure heaven.

So. I would prefer a Mossie to a B17 any day.

Hey roger those were nice kits. Where are they located at? Do they come painted and almost ready to fly?

Neither - I have the Tempest (yet to build) and the material is mostly 3mm grey depron, But its not a simple "profile" depron job, it features built up wings etc - looks nice but that's what it is - a kit of well cut depron bits and assorted bits of hardware, ply etc and a canopy. I am not yet decided whether to use a CD rom or a 2205. I would guess assembly time is going to be about the same as a GWS warbird but because it's depron it will take some care to get a nice finish.

"poacher" who has been posting in "seebass" Lancaster thread is behind them (and indeed you can see the Green Air Design Lanc on the same site).

TKS Roger. Nice looking kits, especially the "Butcher Bird".
Seeing as you appear to know how to obtain bits and pieces can you tell me where to get a Li-Ion ESC and batteries?

Cheers mate

The Mossie is a prototype to prove the airframe, it looks a lot better now with filler and paint on it.
