O.k. Just returned from Disney World, now I need a vacation...I will begin the build shortly. Someone should do a seperate build thread, I would, but I have little glider experience, therefore my build would'nt reflect the nuances that a true glider bulider could. I am mulling over motor choices, I tend to appreciate the E-Flite line of out- runners. Might do one of the 400's.

As I already tell you, that from time to time, some builders of Guppy model really surprise me by their work. And those ocasions are more and more often!

I must share with you a Guppy, build from plans only, made by builder Viktor from Slovenia.

He incorporate some features in his model, and I will represent them here, because I feel that could help further builders of Guppy.

He opted "standard" wing planform, but use different airfoil.
He likes the "standard" wing tips, but he make the new ones, more sexy apearance!

He build his own brushless outruner motor and install it in the Guppy.
This motor pull the Guppy into vertical when climbing. Amazing!

First test was done by his son. Only 10 seconds of motor, and 15 minutes total flight!
His first saying after the test flight was something like that: "Dad, make also one Guppy for me!"

And now some pictures of Viktor`s Guppy.

WOW, nice job Victor! You are right Mitja, the guppy is bringing out the creativity of modelers every where. Not like buying an ARF from one of the big distributors. When the Guppy is done there is a real sense of pride and I think we should recognize that.

Here's the deal guys

For March, April and May Send your guppy pictures here to the thread. I think we should talk Mitja into being the judge here:-) At the end of the month they will be judged for creativity and resourcefulness. The winner will
be the featured picture for the following month on the web site and receive a prize of some sort, pair of servos, small outrunner suitable for Guppy or a gift certificate for $25 at Polecat. Just to show you my heart is in the right place,
it does not have to be from a Polecat kit, it can be scratch built also! Just trying to promote the art of building and personalizing your pride and joy.

Hi everyone,
I'm a hobby rc flyer from Croatia, but I fly only the models made by my own. Since I saw the plan for Guppy, not long time ago, I've built two of this wonderful models. The 1st one I named the golden Guppy, with the original profile and I was delighted after the 1st test flight. Then my son wanted the same one, so I made one for him too, but the 2nd one was with the S 3021 airfoil and it flies much better.
There are two of Gupies on the pictures below.
