My dad is getting one of these for a late father's day gift.

I presume that your dad is new to flying. From the manufacturer's description and video it looks like a terrific plane. I suggest that you turn off the ACT feature (same feature as on Firebird Freedom), it actually makes flying more difficult in many situations.

Not out yet, is it?

My dad is not new at flying but is not an expert either. He can fly the Aerobird Xteme but he likes the looks of the Cub and he likes the more relaxing flying.

They say it will be out late July hopefully.
