Oh no - not another flying boat.

Well, this one looks different - we did not have an inverted Gullwing Delta yet.

I got my kit on June 29th and I hope I find the time to build it, and fly it off a lake on 15th of July:

Actually, the Gemini might not only be one of the toughest, but also one of the cheaper "flying boats" available.

I have seen them advertised for �39.- (approx.$50.-)

As mentioned above: I have not even built it yet, but I will compare it with my Graupner Hydroplane 3D and my Ikarus Wizard.

It is made from Arcel - very similar to Elapor. Only the vertical fin is made from 6mm Depron.

Weights:

main body: 120g
canopy: 10.8g

Maiden accomplished. Wow, this boat is really powerful with the Original Roxxy drive - no wonder at 160W power consumption static.

From all the flying boats I have flown so far, the Gemini is the easiest to fly. It handles just like a normal model and so far, I haven't noticed any bad habits. If Multiplex would have joined the boat race, we would probably have a "FunBOAT".

Looking forward to some water trials.

AFAIK, Robbe does not a have an importer in the USA.

Views: 1673 Sponson prior to sealing it off with the ABS plate. Views: 3173 Motor installation. Metall bar is the counterpart for two magnets in the canopy. Views: 2202 Different linkage setup. Views: 3013 Orginal Robbe Roxxy drive - with 3s1p Kokam 740HD. Views: 2381 Ready to go!
