Sig Tri-star Carnard

I WOULD SURE LIKE TO FIND THE PLANS(OR KIT) FOR THE SIG TRI-STAR CANARD. IF ANYONE CAN HELP IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL.
SIG STOPED MAKING THAT KIT A QUITE FEW YEARS AGO AND THEY ARE NOT ANY HELP. I HAVE SEEN IT ON THE COVER OF A FLYING MAG. A FEW YEARS AGO WHERE IT HAS BEEN ENLARGED.
I HAD THIS PLANE AND FLEW THE HECK OUT OF IT BUT THATS BEEN 10 YEARS? I SURE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ANOTHER CHANCE TO DO IT JUSTICE. IT WOULD BE A GREAT PLANE TO CONVERT FROM GAS TO ELECT.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

Perhaps post a query in the Heli forum, as the only one of these I've seen that was mildly successful as an E-conversion was done by Russ Tront up in BC - and he's now deeply into helicopters. He may or may not have some of the info left from his.

(turn off your caps lock - it makes you look like you're YELLING).

I built one of those a couple of years ago from a kit. It didn't survive the first flight as the canopy attachment as per the plan came adrift and spat the battery out. The wing was the only thing to survive the wreck. Anyhow, I think my son has the plan, I'll ring him and get it back from him. Perhaps the local zerox shop could scan it onto a disk and it could be sent that way. Does anyone know of a way to send the plan over the net?
Would this infringe on any copyright laws?

Thanks Batman for the info.

I think it is easier to get forgiveness than premission
I know my local repographic shop will scan large format drawings(Blueprints)
to a floppy or e-mail them to you. I would be happy to work something out.

You sure have made my day finding the plans
Now I have to get motivated to build the thing.

I picked up a Tristar wing a few years ago, at the last KRC fly-in. Apparently, the owner just left what remained intact from a crash. Some months later I crafted a motor mount for a S400 and some foam wing plates and made a flying wing. It really flew great from the git-go, very Zagi-like, even with all the hardware just stuck on with foam tape. If you want details let me know.

If you are interested, there is currently a Sig Tri Star kit for sale on ebay. I think it's running for about another two days or so.

OK
I thought about starting ane thread but this one is here.
I love this plane. I had a glow one many moons ago (18 years).
Got the Kit on Ebay and never got to build it.
Found another one and had to do something.
Had a buddy that flys with me build it.

It is
420 sq. in. area
2 lb weight w/ 3s 2100 pack
47" wingspan
35" length
JR servos
I am not sure what motor I will end up on it but for now I am using a Nippy Black 1208/180 with an APC 8x6, Jeti 18, and 3s 2100 mAh Thunder Power Pack.
Think a man will need a bigger motor.

Have not had the maiden flight yet. Should be soon.
Will let you all know.

I've been working on a forward swept canard similar to the TRI STAR (mostly for sailplane sloping), just a hair larger. Maybe I'll have to figure out how to make one just a hair smaller for more indoor type work.

SMASH- I cut some cores for the TRI STAR bird a couple of years ago for a dude who crashed his. Let me know. PM me and I'll send you to my foam website.
