1/10th scale Mamba Max radar test pics

Anyone who's interested...we've just posted some pics of our tests with the Mamba Max. Vehicle is an Associated B4, gearing 18t pinion 80t spur, Mamba Max 7700kv motor, Mamba Max esc, 3s Tanic 3650 lipos. 65mph on 3s visually verified in the pics (no warranty on this though...see thread for details). Speeds on 2s were around 45mph (18t/80t is VERY light gearing for 2s). I've also posted some pics in my blog of the system up close and personal if interested. Enjoy! Feel free to ask questions. I'll answer those I'm able to.

I should have them in stock soon. Retail on the combo is $249.95. Street price should be $212.49.

I also heard the price should come down some after it is released.

If street price does go that low and they perform as advertised CC will own the 1/10th brushless market in no time... At a $199 price not many people would stick with a brushed system, IMO. It would be cool if a R/C mfg'r put a Mamba Max system stock/standard with one of their vehicles.

Edit:

I see Horizon has the combos at $212.49.
The ESC at a wowza $135.15.
And the motors at $84.15.

Shame on Horizon for competing with their dealers. For those that don't know, Castle has a 15% discount from retail Minimum Advertised Pricing policy. You will pretty much see similar pricing from everyone. That incourages good customer service over cut throat sales tactics. It's poor practice for a distributor to compete with their dealers.
