$88 5MP HP Digital Cam Results

I used the plane at this thread https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=524435
with the $88 5MP HP digital camera detailed at this thread

to take lots of aerial shots at Big Meadows at Shenandoah National Park last weekend. Here are some of the better shots. If you can find one of these cameras, give it a try. I bought mine at WalMart for $88 the day after Thanksgiving last year. I have the wiring mods for RC-Cam's CamMan at this page:

And a few more. Two are joined shots by AutoStitch.

Really, those are some pretty good shots considering the haze in the air. Pretty impressive for the price.

And they become even more impressive if you remove the haze a bit with a photo editor. This is the result of autocorrecting lighting and contrast with ACDSee 8.

Very nice, and the cam price looks like it was very nice also.
Did you ever get the video out to work that you were doing the thread on ?

Very nice--price and pics.

Haze is often a problem, but with a bit of time in Photoshop, you can wipe most away.

I gave up on getting video out. The main DSP in the camera is listed as having video out, but it is BGA and I could not get to the pads without reflowing the chip off the board. I tried every jumper position on the camera boards and few other traces that looked promising, but to no avail. I added the CamMan PIC, and the flights at Shenandoah were the first flights with everything in place for AP work. Four flights gave almost 300 pictures.

It is amazing the range of results you can get with post processing. This is that same pic enhanced with Digital Camera Enhancer.
