Hello Paul,
Thanks, I didnt know Fred all that well as I was not racing for a long time and was only back into it for a short while when he passed. He was a very nice guy and truly loved pylon. I do believe he was behind all of his props though. Troy, I put the sub fin on there so it will sit on the pod and winglets when on ground. I will mold a small piece of wire in to take some skidding on ground and save fragile wingtips.... if it makes it all the way to a controled landing. ![]() |

So, I have still wing skins waiting in my Mubu wing molds.
They've been sitting there for over a year now. Today I actually did some work on the shear webs. The webs are now ready for closing the mold. I have yet to install servo cables before closing, because it would be much more difficult on the finished wing. However, I won't pre install servos and RDS, i just want to get that thing out of the mold fast. biber |

Nice to see you going again biber
![]() Your skins should be well cured by now. Well I have been off the project for a couple of weeks now as we had an airshow at one of the airports I deal with. Such a pain in the backside but the up side is you get to deal with some pretty cool airplanes. This was at one of our smaller airports but along with the assorted small aerobatic airplanes we had a P38, B25, Corsair, and other cool WWII military aircraft. The Air Force A10 demo team was there along with a C17 fly by. They cant do anything out of the ordinary since they crashed one at an airshow practice up in Anchorage last summer. Now back to MUBU ![]() |

I'd be happy if somebody wants to build them for sale.
I personally can't sell anything, as I'm building a wing for myself ... ... for over a year now. ![]() Right now there are only scratch built and custom models made by enthousiasts. Not two of them identical and that's the fun in it. The Mubu is basically an idea, rather, shared with other people. I will not commercialise it, but have no issues with somebody else doing so, as ideas are free. biber |
