Hi Lupurimus,
Thanks for a reply concerning my Ecureuil. Yes, I know your nice product. But I still have several Walkera 4#3B parts including brushless conversions. So my aim is to make a brushless powerful RC conversion of an Ecureuil. Mine has a 100 g total lifting power (the heli's weight is around 63 g without a battery). I used 2 XK K110 servos instead of 2 Walkera normal servos, and so I could install the 4#3B mechanism . On the other hand, it is impossible to install an XK K110 mechanism into a 1/48 Ecureuil because its hip is too slim, and its nose is too short! |

Hi,
If you permit some small holes for 2 rear servos and a slit for a main gear (and an outer battery), you can install an XK K123 mechanism into a 1/48 Heller Ecureuil. In that case you need (?) a compactification of the mechanism using a Walkera inner brushless motor, a main-shaft and a main gear for a 4#3B. |

If I may suggest one small tip that I have learnt , instead of using a cutting tool like a hot knife or similar instead use a piece of cotton as a saw, it will create near perfect cut lines between pieces and helps make the join near invisible. Any sewing thread will do . Cut a piece of sewing thread 10-20 cm long , wrap one end around a finger and wrap or hold the other end in your other hand. Pull the thread taut and make a sawing motion were you want to make your cut. Once you get used to the principle you will be able to make perfectly straight or complicated curve cuts that mesh together perfectly. |

Realise this is an oldish thread but was inspired by lynxman's and everyone else's work here.
Just picked up the 1/32 revell sea lynx to do a conversion and also looking at the 1/32 fly model Wessex. Do you think a t rex 150 dfc would be a good base for these? Small choppers I know but quite a powerful little 2s system and not expecting 3D out of a scale model anyway. Some nice little four blade head upgrades from the likes of Rakonheli too. |

The TRex 150 is too small for both models. The hulls are too heavy. Blade 200 or 230S can be installed with just a few modifications.

Hi Lupusprimus,
A japanese guy sells some complete models due to your fuselages regularly in some auction site. In particular, this 1/32 painted Jet Ranger is very beautiful. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw_lfQeAQY7/ This mark is the mark of a famous Japanese newspaper company. K2-tokyo |

Hi Lupurimus,
Thanks for a reply. I found another Japanese guy who is making a UH-1 fuselage of an XK K110 by using a 3D printer and resin cast. He also sells these fuselages in Japanese auction site.
