To be honest, it never happened to me.
But it is also possible that this means: there was some water leak to the signal wire, and this caused no interference.
Once I unplugged the cable and I saw some water inside the SMA connector (I'm not sure, of course: maybe the water was coming from my fingers), but the video transmission was still good enough one minute earlier.

Also, please note that the conductivity of water can really vary a lot.
Sometime it is possible to dive down to 5-6 meters without loosing RC signal, sometime 1.5 meters is too much. In the latter case, water is MUCH more conductive.

So, the only thing I can suggest you is to try and learn, I'm sorry.

Very nice, I did not look to see the camera you are using. Is it a GoPro or another type?

just purchased a neptune

O.K.gang I know this thread has been dead awhile, a static diving sub has been on by bucket list forever, and have been lurking this thread a couple years,
had a stroke a year ago with left side paralysis, so can no longer fly or build aircraft which I have done for 40 years, thought maybee i could do the son with one hand,
Iknow these are not produced an longer, found one on ebay paid $650.00 RTR
out of the box turned on the switch, and nothing, took a look and heard some rattling and found the switch was broken, pretty sure sending this back to tiwan for warranty wont do much, found the part at NCP hobbies only to get an email after a few days stating "none left" I will attempt a repair, just looking for opinions on my best course. at this point I would hate to sell it for parts before it even gets wet

OK Gang got parts (see post 305) thanks to Jon at HRP distribution.
Everything works fine. EXCEPT I can't seem to get negative bounacy , an one else experience this, I'm sure it's just tweek somewhere ,I've made sure there's no air trapped just seems the bag should fill a bit mor for it to sink

Ideas

Need to add more weight if you are sure there is no trapped air in the ballast (try inverting the sub underwater). The chrome plated weights that come with the sub, there were a couple different sizes you will need to add some on and balance the sub). If you do not have them, you may be able to add some tire weights. Fill your ballast until it is full (dive) then add enough weigh to just get it to submerge. Then test your sub. Let us know how it goes!

thanks : Ill give that a try: its really close, I pulled it completly under to make sure there was no trapped air , though it was gonna sink, but very slowly started to rise, I have weights that will work

OK just had an ephifiny : I live in Arizona where right now 11:00am it's about 110 deg.
The temp of my pool is around 92. Why do I think that's got a whole bunch to do with it not descending!!!! I gotta get more weight !!!

Submarines, etc.

water temperature does affect buoyancy. the warmer the water, the more weight you will need.

O.K. gang. The issue of negative bouyancy is resolves with weights, now another
Question : what is the depth range as soon as my Neptune goes about a foot and a half under I loose transmitter signal, haven't there been videos posted showing it can go several feet ??

OR is this another water temperature issue ????
