E Flite -super Airliner

HI guys i just got the new SUPER AIRLINER from EFLITE , AND WOW is it nice ,it comes in ARF form, no electric motors .
i did see the vidio, check it out. now the recomended motors from eflite im thinking of geting but i would like to up grade the motors to more powerful motors .
has anyone flown this or know anything about it how it flys with the recomened motors from eflite they require there 20 amp esc (2) for each motor and 2 prolite 2100 TP WICH I HAVE .
I WAS THINKING OF PUTING 2 MEGA 16 15 3 IN.
ANY SUGGESTIONS . AGAIN CHECK THE VIDIO OUT ITS GREAT
THANKS ,JOHN

I don't recall seeing any amp draw data on the recommended motors in the stock fan yet. I think the recommended motors have a kv of 3500, if that turns out to be true then you may end up having less power with the 16/15/3 which has a kv of 3000. Once we have some numbers from users it will be easier to recommend motors.

You might have trouble with another motor such as mega the rotor might be to small.
I bought mine with the e-flight 3500. which seem to have plenty of power.
I will put a watt meter on and see whats the draw.

My guess is the rotor with only 3 blades will be less of a load than the Wattage fan which is a similar diameter. A Mega 16/15/3 with a kv of 3000 pulls about 18 to 20 amps on the wattage fan on 3S lipo (that's ballpark, correct me if I'm wrong). If these EFLight fans need a 3500 kv to pull that many amps, then it'd be less of a load. This is just speculation, when someone posts some numbers we'll know more!

Just picked one up for $154.99 at the LHS.
Also picked up the recommended power setup of 2 E-flite outrunner 3500kv motors and 2 20amp ESCs.
The box was so big it wouldn't fit in my Ford Taurus!
Removed parts from box and was just able to stack the fuse and wing in the trunk.
It's a big airframe, The fuselage is about 5' long!
These outrunner motors are TINY compared to a Mega 16/15/3.
Motor weight, including the 3 12" long wires is only 49gms!
It's late so I'll start assembly tomorrow night and hopefully post some #s before saturday.

if you take the spinner off of the eflight rotor. you will notice that it used to be a 6 blade fan. also pay very close attention to the way the rotor is mounted in the spinner. one of them at my lhs was on backwards !!

Ran it up today with a Watt meter. Both motors pulling 45 AMPs on a 5S2P 4200 TP LiPopack. About 800 Watts!
