tribute to Jack Northrop


Before 60 years, on June 25th 1946 the first XB-35 (serial number 42-13603) took off on its maiden flight with Max Stanley as pilot and Dale Schroeder as flight engineer.

On June 18th 2006 Amperfest model show 20 miles south from Prague...

Span: 1750mm (1/30 of the original size)
Weight: 1080 grams
Power unit: four brushless contrarotaing MPJET unit (based on eight "small yellow" MPJ 20206 with coaxial carbon tube shaft extenders)
ESC: eight MGM Compro Easy7
Battery pack: Kokam 2S3P SHD 20C 1500mAh
Servos: HS55 and HS50 (for split-flat rudders)

Main coordinator of the project, building, aerodynamics, system of flight control and pilot: Antonín Alfery
Board electronics and ESC: Grigorij Dvorský
CNC styrofoam parts: Libor Nezbeda
Power units: Milan Porkristl jr.

i talked about this plane with mr. Alfery - also about the new bristol beaufigher - should come to market around august

Is it me, or does the German marked experimental looking plane look A LOT like Bert Rutan's SpaceshipOne!!! I thought he only came up with original designs.
