right now my ep8 is running on 4s emoli's.

setup
hacker a30 10L
17t pinion
cchv45
ubec 35v
stock everything else

this setup flys real steady. climb outs kinda suck, but for everyday tooling around (10 - 12 min) its good.

I plan on switching out the motor to an A30 8XL and move to 5s emoli as soon as the Rotorworkz frame is avail.

its a real good heli, mines gounded until I get a few parts. (spun it up too close to a curb and wiped out the tail blades and tail shaft).

CC HV45 is the esc, Castle Creations high voltage 45 amp esc.
uBec = koolflightsystems.com the HV esc is opto and needs a seperate bec to power the electronics.
He is using 4s V28/Emoli cells.

thanks Ozace I should have been more clear.
17t pinion gets the motor to about 140deg. at 90% throtle. I would think a 20t would make the motor run a bit hotter. I get over the 2K mark with the 17t and thats good for me.

Wow Geneween.
I am going to have the same setup except for the batteries.
All I have is 4 packs of 3S 2100's I hoping I can run a pair in parallel. Just hope their not to heavy.

Im waiting on the HV45 right now, I ordered one and they sent a HV85 for the 45 cost!

Gene, Will the A30 8Xl not fit in stock frame? I am ordering one and wanted to use the 5 emoils. Even after reading the whole darn other thread I wasn't sure. Kinda glad there's a new one.

yup the a30 fits with room to spare... I really like the setup. just wish i didn't hose the heli into a curb during spool up. I going to the "SE" frame because it fit's the emolis better and I hate the skids on this thing bends real easy.
