Electric Easy Glider Upgrade

I want to put a brushless in my Electric EZ Glider when the 400 goes out. Is there an easy "drop-in" replacement that will fit the gearbox and the nose of the EZ Glider? What is the ratio of the gearbox that comes with the stock 400 in the Electric EZ Glider? Any guidance will be appreciated.

Yes, but when will they actually be available? I have had one on order from Hobby-Horse for 2 months and am still waiting. Every time I call them they say it should be about 2 weeks.

It seems we are waiting on the locktite and lube to complete the combo... everything is still available separately. Or you can get the 10 tooth pinion for the Showgun from Hobby People and use the stock output gear and keep the 3-1 gear ratio.

One of the guys here did this and with the 6D motor on the stock prop with 3S Lipo he was torque rolling it!

Mike

There are two Shogun 10t pinions on this page:

Do you recommend this one?
2.3mm diameter http://www.hobbypeople.net/guru/hps_961833568.asp
or this?
2.31 diameter: http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/165339.asp

Multiplex brushless motor and gearbox Lube & Locktite

Hi Everybody,

A great brushless motor for an 'older' version of the Easy Glider was (and still is) the Multiplex Permax BL-400/8D-3.2. That motor is used with a good propeller via a motor shaft gear (attached with Locktite 638) and a gearbox. If the gearbox has been well cleaned and now it should be re-lubed, could you confirm the type of lube that was previously included in the brushless motor upgrade kit?

The Multiplex box part was M992541 Upgrade Kit. The brushless motor was (is) a Multiplex Permax BL-400/8D-3.2. The Lube & Loctite was part # 33 2469. The Loctite in this package was (is) the Locktite 638 shown in the attached photo, but what was the lube product name and where could that still be purchased?

Could you also post a copy of the past instructions that are also shown in the attached brushless motor upgrade kit photo?

Is the lube maybe a white lithium grease?

(The attached photos were previously shown in https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...r#post33765735 )

Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated ...

Cheers,
Dave
