So, here are some pictures from the first flights...
since these pics were taken (last thursday) I have added a larger rudder and a steerable tailweel...

oooh, lets see if I remember the specs...

Weight: 230 g (8 oz)
wingspan: 112,6 cm (3,68 ft)
cord: 17,5 cm (6,9 in)
length (incl spinner): 70,5 cm (2,31 ft)

channels:
*trotel
*rudder
*elevator
*retracts

radio geer:
IPS-DX-A with 10*4,7 prop (The BEST)
7*250 mah batterypack
2A GWS esc (ISC-50 or whatever it is called, hehe)
GW-R6N RX
3*HS-55 servos
GWS retracts

Yeah, its realy cool to see the plane fly when for some weeks ago you only saw it in your mind
The plane has changed the looks drasticaly during building, hehe
I build as I think it looks right, hehe

Very nice Philip,

I'm impressed that you got the weight down so much.

I might have to try the retract thing on my Zoot Scoot. How well does the gear hold up in the grassy field?

Hi!

Yeah, I expected the weight to be about 290 g but Im WERRY pleased with the 230 I ended up with

I did make some ROGs from Gras w/o problem, I had ful elevator in the first few meters then it got flight peed and it climbes out werry well...

Im so pleased with this machine, total building time from first drawing to finnished plane i about 5 days

Now the GWS P-51 is the next project

What's it covered with Philip? Must be some pretty light stuff to come out at that weight.

Whenever I try and make a wing that light it just warps on me.
