**NEW** Great Planes ElectriFly XPD-8 EP ARF Jet & HyperFlow Ducted Fan Unit

A new take on ducted fan technology!

Finally, a ducted fan plane that doesn’t disappoint! Great Planes engineers set out to develop an easy, effective ducted fan system. The XPD-8 ARF is the end result of their efforts: a sleek, super-fast R/C jet for intermediate-level pilots who want to have fun at an affordable price!

• Comes prepainted; flight-ready in only 1-2 hours.
• Molded of durable EPS foam for smoothly contoured lines, and is totally repairable.
• Can fly in winds of up to 20 mph.
• A high-quality hardware package is included.
• Available with or without ducted fan unit and brushed motor.

• Wingspan: 28 in (710 mm) • Wing Area: 210 in² (13.5 dm²) • Weight: 11.6-13.9 oz (330-395 g) • Wing Loading: 8-9.6 oz/ft² (24.5-29.4 g/dm²) • Length: 15 in (380 mm) • GPMA1865 includes: HyperFlow™ ducted fan unit w/370 brushed motor • Requires: 3+ channel radio w/micro receiver and 2 micro servos, 20-25A ESC, elevon mixer or transmitter capable of elevon mixing, 640-1250mAh 3S Lithium-Polymer battery, LiPo compatible charger (GPMA1867 also requires ducted fan unit and brushed motor)

Flight specs:
Straight and level top speed = 56 mph
“After Dive” straight and level top speed = 67 mph
Climb angle = 60°
Retail Street
GPMA1865 XPD-8 EP Ducted Fan ARF w/HyperFlow DF $139.99 $99.99
GPMA1867 XPD-8 EP Ducted Fan ARF w/o DF $99.99 $79.99

The secret to the XPD-8 ARF’s success is the high-tech HyperFlow ducted fan system! Until now, most ducted fan units were developed by R/C modelers, relying on existing information. The HyperFlow system was developed by an Aerospace engineer — starting from scratch. By utilizing state-of-the-art computer modeling and flow analysis, the necessary parameters for high performance were identified before manufacturing even began — eliminating the “trial and error” process!

• The fan system produces 8.5 oz. of static thrust at 29,000 rpm on 11.1V and 1250mAh.
• Sell the HyperFlow unit as a performance-boosting retro-fit for other electric airplanes.
• Available with or without 370 brushed motor, and can be adapted to use a 20 mm or 24 mm brushless motor.
• Suggest coupling the HyperFlow with 4-cell LiPo batteries and the Ammo 20-40-9500 brushless motor (GPMG5140) to produce an outrageous 19.90 oz. of thrust at 43,000 rpm!

It may have been designed by an eminent aeronautical engineer but boy has it had problems!! Still waiting for a reply from great Planes as to weather they have
Improved production & balance issues as they seem to be bringing the HYPERFLOW fan back into use in new airframes after 6 years.
Come on great Planes-- how about some great after market service!!!
