I, and many others, have searched for a 3" 4-blade prop for a while. I'm pretty sure none exists. There are lots of good threads on this bird in the GWS forum under Vendors.

I bought 4 extra 2-bladers, of the same type, from GWS.
It is not difficult to counterbore half way through the front of the hub, on one set, and half way through the back of the hub, on the other set, glue those together, and you've got 4-bladers!
Naturally, this is not for everyone. You need to have a drill-press, a counterbore which is about the size of the prop-hub, and it should have a pilot which fits the bore of the hub.
If I ever get around to building mine, I'll take some pictures of the process. (Doing the spinners nice is going to be the tough part).

Lancer,

Take a look at my build thread to see what I'm up to next for my C-130. Hope to maiden it this weekend. It may be easier to make 4-bladers from these bigger props. But you're right, making a good scale looking spinner would be tough.

Watch the amp draw on those converted 2 blade to 4 blade props....they might be too much for the little 12mm motor to deal with.

Very true! I didn't mention that I also bought 4 of the DIY outrunner kits for my "Azrael". I've wound one motor, so far. (That is hard on the fingers)!

Ain't that pretty? A lady used to fly over our place, on a regularly scheduled patrol, (out of Point Mugu, I think), about once a week. Sure sounded good!
Attached is one we saw at Oshkosh, last year.

.This is my next GWS build project! My Dad was a 130 flight engineer and as a kid I just loved this plane and still do. This might sound or look stupid but has any body tried the edf 40 fan props they do make a three blade and a six blade set up. Part number EP1630X6. I have seen a real 130 with these types of blades

The C130J uses the six blade props. The RAF have some alongside their K's.

Thanks Punkie, this is exactly what I will be doing on mine, how ever I will have to go brushless, 4 ea medusa 12mm. talk about an expensive set up wow! I have three of the motors now in different planes I will gut them later. I donít think the six bladed props are that efficient; 40 size maybe the 50 size will work better. I will have to do some tests unless some power system Guru out there already knows how they will work with thrust and amps.
