lookin to convert a .45 to .75 60" plane to a electric
with all the new motors out there theres gotta be a conversion

any suggestions?

Do a search on the Sig Four Star 40 if you like building, GP Venus, Hangar 9 Aresti or the zillion versions of Diablotin if you prefer buying.

There's probably more info on what you're after down in the sports section.

A classic that still kicks donkey is the old Cloud Dancer 40 - Jim Bourke hisself wrote a great article on converting the old ACE RC kit, it's still in the article archives. Kit's gone, plan's still available from RCM, or the BARF from the remnants of ACE RC.

Lots of wings = lots of drag However, add enough power, turning enough prop ( hint - a cheap 550 on direct drive and a bargain seven cell pack won't be enough ) and it should go fine.

Every Dr1 I've seen fly - from 1/12" to 1/5th, glow and 'lecky - flew fine, but had a tendency to end landing run inverted. So, it's kinda scale-like. Comparing GP's to a scale drg might well highlight a few of the mods needed to cure this tendency

Move over to the "Scale" forum - there's a couple of tripe drivers thereabouts. They should be able to give you some hints
