**3DMP-e** On EVO 20 3700mAh Pack

I just received my new Evo 20 this morning. NICE...... I may have to buy another one of these. My first flight was a cool 10 mins.
I am using a Plettenberg HP300/30/A3 Heli motor & Schulze 32.55 ESC.

1st flight: Charge Time: 45mins, 45sec.
Back In: 1990mAh
Voltage after charging: 42Vdc

1990mAh/3700mAh= 54% utilization Plenty to spare ..

What are you using to charge them with Mike, it takes me over an hour to charge my packs with the Schulze. You got one of these TP charger balancer units? IF you can re-charge that quick I think I may have to invest in one

Well, it didn't take more than 45 mins because he just put back 54% of the total capacity. Remember these EVO20 cells can take up to 2.5C in charge, a full charge only takes about 20-30 min at that rate!

Regardless of what I get back in it still takes over an hour on the schulze due to the way it ramps the charge up and down. I sometiems only put 2000 back into my 4150mah packs and it takes just as long as it does to put back 3600mah.

Ah, if you have to charge at a higher C rating and reduce the life cycle of the pack's i'll stick with the old schulze and just suffer the charge times

I am charging at 1C that's 3.5A max. My charging setup is exactly as in the example photo with the exception of the pack. I am using a 12V, 15A power supply that I purchased from Radio Shack....

mike, how do you like the schulze balancer? i have a 636 and am planning to either get the schulze balancer to go with it, or to just sell the 636 to buy a TP charger/balancer combo.

haha you're lucky with your crash mike, in mine i get my battery all banged up and deformed, fortunently i straightened it out while it was still warm. so as a heads up i would get some sort of a case for the batt! im making a carbon sleeve for mine.

how much damaged did you get to your heli?

EVO 20's

My brother and I are running a 6s 1p 3700 and a 6s 2p 5000. They rip! We are flying the Swift by Century. Centtury also has diffrent EVO 4/5/6's in stock!

They seem to take a 1.5c charge with out getting hot.
