Why does my foamie "tip-stall" with winglets?

Hi all,

I bought a "Kmart" type foamie plane. It looks kind of like this one except with straight wings instead of swept back wings:

I made it with ailerons and rudder, and wing tiplets like a Zagi. It flies GREAT straight! But once you try turning even a little, it seems to tip stall and dive into the ground!

I removed the winglets and the problem mostly went away! Does anyone know why this is? The winglets I used were very small! How does one remove this tendency to tip stall when turning?

I don't know the why, but on his Zagnutz flying wing design CenTexFlyer found that extending the winglets down below the bottom helped big time. I tried it and was amazed by the results.

His main site is :

This is a crappy representation of the orientation. The black middle part is where the wing tip is affixed.
