EDF Project for FAI 40 4T

I want to build and fly a ducted fan electric jet. I also want to use my FAI 40 4T. I am advised that it could turn a 4" fan. Who, what, where, etc. can I find out more about the possibilities?

How can I tweak Electricalc to estimate a 4" fan?

Thanks for any ideas.

I tried a 6T on a 5" fan and it barely worked, 4.5 to 5 pounds of thrust and 17,000 rpm (low end for the HW-750) on 20 cells and 50+A

SO, I always thought it should work well on the HW-730, but you will need the adapter rework for the shaft since it's not 5mm.

now the 4T is a bit hotter but should work

Astro FAI

I flew an EJF F-86 using a WeMoTec HW-730 fan and a Astro 25 FAI on 16 cells. Flew well. the 40 should do great.
