Do you mean unfortunately, CSRC is the ONLY distributor, or do you mean what you originally wrote?

Hawkz... From what I understand they are the only distributor in the US, which is unfortunate in my opinion.

I'd love to hear that there is another distributor for the Swifts in the US though..

Man, I wish these things would go on sale. I can't cough up $120 for a plane, incl. tax & shipping.

had two, great both

My friend had at first this nice piece of Dwing, i tried his one, witih motor and than without as a glider, still perfect to fly with bateries (unplugged) with in it. Than i bought one for my other friend with emax 2215motor, which is like place a jet engine on paper plane, but with reduced max of thr is great, consider weaker for great flying too. We use a 3s 2200,1800,1500 lipos with emax and Jeti ESCs 20,30A.
we had used also a Panasonic compact camera for record video, just a strapped from top, and it worked, little a redneck solution, but we did for few times.

Strongly recomend to add a carbon poles about 2mm in wings, this make plane very crashproof, without is weak to take hits.

This is video i like most, not sure if is already present here.

Your setup seems to be OK, but it looks little too much of travell of elevons, you can keep this, and make other option follows, i have Dx6i too, so make it as DR Combi, and make DR with other options for aile/elev about half of your current, but as i figured, travell of end of flaping part of wing about 2cm from its straight position is enough. Start with the bigger and if it will be so much just switch to other. if it will be still to much than change both options, it depends also on servo horn hole you use. Middle one did the job. Check carefuly if your real travell of servos are same. Our first fail was that the one of them was little more than the others and the other has subtrim at different position so subtrim worked well, and the first was corrected by travell menu at Dx6i.
We also use the softest timing and softest motor reaction, and it is still good, the hard reactions could destabilise flight especialy at lower speads which are great for this plane at calm weather. (but we have probably way to much power).

MaxiSwift

Greetings Tamudoc04,

The MaxiSwift is a very large wing. I have had one for several years. I'm the third guy in our group to have this particular Maxi. After a number of modifications it has become a very good platform for my cameras. The Maxi does not come with wheels and because of its size and weight it's difficult to hand launch. It was only after a sturdy set of wheels was installed that the plane became fun to fly. Also I converted my Maxi to a tractor instead of a pusher.

This is just my personal observation but, because the Maxi is so large I hesitate to trasnsport it to the flying site very often. Personally I prefer the Swift II. I own five Swift II's (four are in reserve ) and it's my "go to" machine. I can't say enough good about the Swift II!

A few minutes ago I was looking at the website of Commonsenserc.com
They have the MaxiSwift, the Swift II's, and Mini Swifts for sale. I've purchase a number of Swifts from them and the company has given me excellent service.

If you wish take a look at my MaxiSwift and see how stable it flies in wind that would ground most foam planes; take a look at the clip I recently posted on Youtube.

Hope all this has not bored you, but if you're serious about getting a MaxiSwift some of the above info might be useful.

Here's the Youtube link:
MaxiSwift takes off and lands in strong wind 5-7-10.MTS (0 min 55 sec)

All the best,

Desert Hawk
