If you are looking for speed, the swift II is not the wing you want. It is quick, but not fast in my opinion. If you want speed, there are much better choices, like the Multiplex Funjet or the Parkzone Stryker.

both from what i gathered so far this wing can be flown slow aerobatic and (QUICK) so when you have a plane that multi task,it should be great.

the swift 2 is definitly not fast but it is quick. With the setups on ours we get probably 60mph and unlimited vertical, as well as slow as you can go speed. I have a ms 300/34 and its a little slower than the other ones I have built but I am only pulling 11amps and the others are pulling around 16. I get 15min plus flight times and the others get around 7-12 min flights on 1000mah batts

wow...so apparently i needed 2 3s 2200mah batts at 376 grams to balance!

wow... i read about how it needs alot of weight, but its crazy... does that sound right to anyone?

I am using a 3S 3600mah and it balances pretty good. But it pulls up in a dive test indicating it is nose heavy. Not sure of the weight of my lipo, but it is a big old polyRC pack. I think 2 2200's would be too much unless you mounted a big heavy motor on the rear.

it definatly has a huge motor... large enough that it wouldn't fit the stock motor mount, and i had to make my own out of plywood.

Right at 320mm back is the balance point.

yeah, 2x 2200's would have balanced mine out just perfect.
but lead is cheaper.

Yeah, it's hard to reconcile adding all the extra weight just to get it to balance. I struggled with that issue as well.
To quote me (post #64);

Quote:
Looks like no matter what I do, mines going to be a bit on the "chubby" side.
Strange because I built it as light as I could (maybe we have more gravity down here).

I can balance it with three 2400 mah batteries...AUW 1.28 kg

Or

I can use lead sinkers and two 2400 mah batteries...AUW 1.23 kg

Or

I can use even more lead sinkers and one 2400 mah battery...AUW 1.18 kg

I'm not sure which way to go, I'll make a snap D and start cutting soon.
I'm tempted to sacrifice performance for extended flight times, and go with the three batteries and no dead weight.

EDIT : I've decided to go with a single battery - minimum weight, maximum glide.

Mine's also balanced at 325mm from the nose.
