MPI 45 amp ESC. Any help you can give me?

I bought a 45 amp MPI esc for my twin U-2. It says for over 7 cells to cut the red pin out, and use a seperate RX pack. Why is that? What happens if i dont?

Above 7 cells and the regulator to the receiver will not be able to handle the rated current... ie you won't be able to use as many servos as it is rated (or it might burn out altogether). Either stick to 7 or less cells or cut the pin.
