I have worn out 12 tail motors (total of both kinds), 5 brushed main motors and 3 battery packs. I have no idea how many hours that it but it is probably a bunch.

I've been thru,,,,,

several patches of grass, twigs, and one drop down [fast power off drop] into the neighbor's above ground pool cover that had an inch or 2 of water in it. Did a fast buzz at and over a cottontail in the feild behind the house,,then figured I couldn't see the airship [Blade CP] well enough to return back/get orientated. I've hacked the asphault out in the culdesac several times-the asphault won the blade battle EVERY time. Driveway concrete same-same.
Son [30 years old] finally asked why I didn't just take off from a piece of cardboard in the large yard and power off into grass instead of asphault/concrete.......................................... ................... ........ ........ ............. ..........hmmm.
Yeah, made sense and that's the norm now. Finally grab my "cruel sticks" and decided to brace my feet and treat the CP JUST like the sim I'm using,,and WAH- LAH! It worked!
I don't know if I can stand the fun I'll have when I actually FLY it more than I POWER OFF LAND IT~{crash}.

Wow! That is a lot of flight time. How are you managing 33 minute flights?

9 months now on my CP2 I used to fly it twice a day , don't fly it as much but it's still a blast and the cost to keep it flying makes it worth having around when I dump the King or MX-400 trying something new. One thing is for certain the Blade and CP2 are tough little helis to fly but since we log so many hours on them we feel right at home we know what they can do and what they can't do it's never a surprise I know what to expect.

My HB Esky CP2 had over 140 flights logged and still flying good.

I have upgraded it to brushless motor about 6 weeks ago and its flying performance is better after the upgrade.

I'm not in Atlanta....Greenville SC's where I'm at.

Brushless main and tail and new TP1320 w/9t pinion and CF blades....33 min hovering. My older TP1320's get 24 - 26 min and 16 -18 min respectively.

Hey, new heli pilot here. This thread begs the question: log? Do you guys just keep track of packs flown, or use a timer, what? And a related question, do you log your charges per pack so you know how much each has been used? I try to keep my packs rotated pretty good, but other than that I wouldn't have the slightest idea how much time I've flown.

I log every flight...

Heli name
batt pack number
duration
activity
location
starting, ending issues
date time

I've been doing this since my early days....mid 70's...with planes
