F-22 3mm Depron Pusher Jet

Here's my latest design built completely of 3mm depron. Power system is CDROM motor. It's almost like an EDF. All electronics and motor are housed. It's hard to even break a prop with this design. Flys very well. Even inverted. What do you think?

Looks good.

How do you have it setup, I couldn't tell very well from the pictures? Looks like maybe some sort of ailerons and elevator, but I couldn't make out the servo setup (tired eyes).

What's the CDrom setup, winds and such?

Eleron and Taileron are tied together. It's any easy setup that provides outstanding performance. It's just like the SU-27. The CDROM is a 7 turn 23g.

Ahh, now that picture makes sense, I see where they are tied together.

Thanks.

I'm running a cheap Etec 2 cell 700ma. Plenty of power and light.

Have you flown in any kind of wind? I have a big flat foamie and I have to wait for a calm day to fly.

I have flown it in 5-10 mph winds. I'll try and get some video.

Can glue better than fly!
Hey Kahuna,
Cool little jet! I too did a micro raptor, uses the cirrus joules with a ips motor on 2s lipo. Its a decent little flyer but it wont be sweet until it gets a BL. Then i doubled the size and made another out of fff with a BL on 3s, this one is my most favorite one to fly out of all my planes! I've got about 30 flights on it and i'm still coming up with new tricks!
Hope you have good luck with yours.

Chris

Mine is 15" wingspan 3mm depron with elevons only. I run 12mm Feigao 4100kv with heatsink, Tbird 9 esc, 3s 450mah and a GWS 3x3 prop. I gave one to Dan of TrueRC and flew it at SEFF in the wind.

I see we came to the same conclusion about the vertical stabilizers being part of the lower fuselage sides for ease of construction. It makes it a little harder to grip on launch but also seems to add some strength.

Have you tried one without the wing control surfaces? I was curious about how the extra controls like on the sukhoi shockies affect the handling. I haven't tried them.

We programmed in dual rates and exponential but they are still very sensitive and definitely not for beginners. We also coupled down elevator to throttle increase.

As fast as this thing is, I can only imagine what yours does with a cdrom motor. Zoooooooom.

Great job and nice pics.
