Alpha Jet From EAM

Hi all, I'm thinking of purchasing the profile alpha jet that eam sell (about 60 or 70 dollars). I've gone to the web site but cannot read german I like the setup as I have a 480bb and fan. What I need to know is how good is this jet. I've HAD an F16 & A10 in the past, will this fly better and faster than the above or is it sluggish. I've also heard that it handlaunches very well, is this also true.

It is all true :-)

It handlaunches well, and is adequately powered with Mini Fan 480 and SPEEd 480 race BB.
If not recommended in your version of the kit, I would definitely use the intake lip provided with the fan, and if you want to build a nozzle, o down to 55 mm in dia.
As a battery I would choose 8 x CP 1300 or even 8 x CP 1700.
The original flies well on 8 1250 SCR, and they are same weight.
You can later on switch to stronger motors, but than some reinforcement especially to the elevator is needed.
Build light, have fun.

Is this the one you're looking for, Jeremy?
http://www.aff-cnc.de/site04.htm

If so, I#ve got the same thing and I'm quite happy with. Equipment just as Oliver mentioned.
It's available from Höllein (www.hoellein.com) who also sells internationally. It retails at about 40 bucks (plus shipment).
They speak english at höllein, just give them a call or fax.

Hard to tell the speed. I'd say "sufficient" :-)

It'll do everything just depending on the pilot's abilities. It doesnt have a rudder, so knife-edge is probably not feasible.

Peter
