Yeah I seen they have the white ones, I was just wondering if those are just the ones they have in stock or if GWS is still making them.

A flying buddy brought me out to his favorite spot to maiden his sailplane, thought I'd throw the Moth up for a flight.
I need new batteries badly - they all shut off even at 1/2 throttle if I get there too quickly.

Hi, to all you "Moth-ers"! It's been a bunch of time since I looked in on this thread. My very first rc flyer was a PTM. Several years ago, I ventured into scale with a Waco YMF-5 but am returning to what I enjoy the most....flying that little yellow bipe over the vinyards of upstate NY. Glad to see that there is still a certain "altitude challenged" Tigermoth here! I have not flown anything for the past 2 years....PTM #3 is being now in the process of rejuvination on our dining room table and my old JR Quatro is getting dusted off and rebatteried.
I have read over the past few months of this thread.....Wonderful that it's still here.

Well, I'm glad you came back to your senses! As for the "altitude challenged Moth"... nothing's changed. I'm still flying under power lines and around trees. lol Glad to see you back with us!

LMAO!! Both! But, I don't recommend trying to drive through several trees at 160mph. Speaking of strange things... I was in my current Porsche in a really cool car wash that uses only pressure. Nothing touches your car. After it finished this huge blower travels over your car slowly and dries the water off.
So, it finished... I hit the key... and my battery is stone dead. I was trapped in the car wash! I couldn't open either door... so I had enough power left to let the driver window all the way down. I was walking sideways on the rails that keep your car straight... and someone else drove in ... ! I'm yelling, "Wait...WAIT! IM IN HERE"... She saw me and some other guy pushed me forward until I rolled down a hill. Ignition on! Dump the clutch in 2nd gear and YESSS It backfired then started.

Hey Buzz, I owned an MG Midget back in the 60's that always conked out right after a heavy rain or going through a puddle.....the electric fuel pump would short out....
I've yet to get TM no.3 up and running....just need to velcro in the servos again and see if this rigged up battery will do the job on the transmitter.....
Wish I'da done this when the weather up here in the Finger Lakes was abnormally warm, a week ago......Now under a warning for an early spring nor-easter with wet snow, wind and power outages.....
Guess I'll just taxi 'er around the living room.

Ahhh, the unique characteristics of exotic cars.... lol I used to have an Austin Healy Sprite. It has Lucas electronics in it and a positive ground. I blew up the battery ... had the charger leads backwards. Boy, the weather down here is beautiful. Rained all day yesterday. You know what that means. My wife found about 50 things for me to do inside the house.

I had a 1960 MGA and a 1954 Jaguar XK-140M drop head coupe back in the mid-1960's. Both had Lucas electrics as did my Triumph TR-6C motorcycle. Word back then was that Lucas was well known for having invented dark. Had problems with everyone of their electrical systems...

Ah, the good old days...

Lucas invented dark? That's one of the funniest things I've heard lately lol
But, it's true! Sometimes all it took was to hit a bump and all your lights would go off.
