Re: wing joint cover

Need help with Pico Moth instructions...please! On page 12 of this manual:

http://m-a-e.com/Sub_Pages/Build&Fly...structions.pdf

Is it saying to cut this piece in half?!?! Down the middle, along the indentation (valley)? If so then I don't see how or where the 2 cut pieces would fit.

NO!!!! Cut around the indentation line on the OUTSIDE of the piece to remove the turned up edges.

So, I'm essentially just trimming off the edge?

Everybody knows Oct is too early for turkeys. Takes til Nov to plump 'em up properly. Besides, all us plump americans couldn't take turkey day and Halloween in the same month.

Maidened my pico moth today and all went very well! I swear I had it in the air for 30 minutes or more (with 7.5V left on my 2 cell when I got home). It was also the first flight for my Thunder Power 910mahr battery.

I flew w/o a camera for 5-10 minutes, then put my 5-in-1 onto it. I suppose it did not fly as well with the added weight, and maybe I was nose heavy, but all went OK. There was a steady 2-5MPH wind, but it was easy flying. There was long brush or tiny saplings that made for soft landings.

I took the camera off, flew some more, then decided to tape my other 5-in-1 onto it (the front cockpit at the COG). Flew for 5 more minutes, but the darn camera stopped. I formatted both of them before flight. It's always the one camera that acts up.

What do I know - both cameras recorded for 5 minutes and a few seconds (was expecting 6 minutes though).

JookSing,
Good luck with that build! Any other questions are definitely welcome. Let us know how it goes.

Block,
Congrats on the maiden. I'd love to see that video sometime.

Buzz,
Any word on a putt-putt Titanic? (the $12 one) That's my Dad's Xmas present, so I'll need that one fairly soon.

Did I mention it's still raining same next 7 days! Well have started building the 52.5" Storch from E*Star which should keep me from going bonkers! Put Build thread and pics of progress and the metamorphose of Jay's 2007 SEMA 125K Show Truck on the website. www.boomerseflight.com . Got to update the site even if I can't fly! There are also a bunch of Full Scale Flight videos and Crash Videos also on the website for those of you in the same boat (pun intended) as I am!

November 'Mothin......

Hard to believe for late November, but mild weather and light winds got me out to the field yesterday with the 'Moth and Dandy GT,several flyers were out there as well....was the first time I can remember flying and hearing shotgun blasts in the fields around us....hunting season and all(don't worry, the hunters were several hundred yards away, using birdshot)We had alot of fun and all our planes came down without any extra holes... Blue skys and light winds to TigerMoth flyers everywhere..!!
Happy Thanksgiving..!!
