Trex XL Weight VS Trex SE Weight VS Carbon fiber frame Weight ?

Does anyone know the exact weight in grams of any of the follwing.

1. TREX 450 XL
(Just the plastic frame and ccpm refting parts)

2. TREX 450 SE
(Just the carbon fiber frame with metal mounting parts)

and lastly..

3. TREX 450 Carbon fiber frame upgrade
(this is the same as the SE but with plastic parts)

I just want to get the lightest off the self frame for my trex. I feel my SE frame is not worth the weight im luging around. Thanks men!

the carbon one is the strongest, there,s only a few grams between them but strength outweights the plastic any day. Look at your electronics/battery/motor combo to get the most effective lightweight trex you can get.
I did get a flying trex down to under 450 grams but most of that weight saving came from having a lighter motor and hence a lighter battery than normal.
If you can keep it to around 700 grams the power systems of today are more than enough to cope with the weight, any lighter and it just becomes weaker to a point. i think 700 and power to boot with strength is a good combination.

my issue for me is my kontronic esc and my gy401, i used to have an align esc and align gyro MUCH LIGHTER! but as we know there is no comparision. I want to upgrade my 450th motor to the neu 1107-2y i think it is and thats about 27 grams heavier than my 450th. So somethings gotta give. I also noticed coming from the stock XL that when i crash with the se frame (eccpm) at least 1 servo strips almost evertime! Verse with the XL almost never! All the extra junk must act as a buffer! LOL!

now i do some 3d.... but not hard 3d and i can say the difference i notice is not that great or worth it for me. if anything my heli is slower and flys for less time..

a 450th 0n 4s will give you a btter power to weight ratio even though even heavier than the 3s combo. sticking to outrunners is the key to keeping it light could put that extra 27 grams into your power supply rather than into metal.

I got the plastic frame down to 60 grams, was lightened and then refitted with carbon sideplates to house the servos and also included some ali cross members to strengthen it back up again,so frame ready for fitting was 60 grams..
