Red has a new larger bipe, it does pretty good in the wind too. They are speacial order right now tho. It is called the JacKnife (36" range).

Here is a link to the thread: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=473136

Also a link to Red's site: http://www.redshangarone.com

If you are looking to make your own from scratch, you can get this free set of plans from Foam Factory for a 40" Ultimate Bipe: http://www.foamyfactory.com/plans/ultimateplans.zip or their 33" Beta version of the Echelon: http://www.foamyfactory.com/plans/Be...n-28-33-US.zip

Pitts Bipe

Dampy,

here are the plans and a couple pics of a Pitts Bipe based on plans from Chris3D, I have built both a 24" and 30" wingspan version of this plane, fly's great! you can scale these plans up to 40". The 30" shown in the pic's is built from 2mm and 4mm foam, 2mm for the fuse and upper surface of the wings and 4mm for bulkheads and bottom of the wings and fuse doubler's, I buy the foam board from a local Hobby Lobby craft store, there is about $5.00 of foam in this plane. I also fully glass the plane with 3/4 oz fabric and Minwax Polycrylic (brush-on), makes for a very strong but light plane and leaves a great finish for painting. The 30" weights in at ~ 20 oz, is powered by a E-Flite Park 400 BL motor, E-Flite 6.6:1 gearbox, 12x6 prop and Kokam 3S 910 mah LiPo.

Aerodude your biplane looks great. I also built a biplane from chris3d planes I up sized mine to a 30" wing span. Powered with AXI 2212/26 with a 10x5 prop and 3 cell 1300mah lipo. Mine is all 6mm depron and 3mm depron for both the top side and under side of wing. Total with everything installed is at 16oz. How does yours fly?

Dampy,

I just finished my second plane, a NE Sailplanes EPP foam Ultimate Bipe. I have crashed it twice with the only damage being to the landing gear. It flies great with a Hacker A20-20L. The build is definately harder than a profile flatty but it looks great. Thr plane costs about $90. I'm looking to build a profile EPP plane next.
