Some photos from Lake Balboa this morning. Mark (the goon) and Victor (what's his name) were there with their huge boats, a tug and a puffer. Looks at the photos, this is what you have to do when you have a big boat. Throw everything including the kitchen sink in it for ballast.

Barnacle Bob, Sea Jay, and Bob's student Devon were there as well as some other locals I do not know. An interesting rescue pontoon boat was on scene.

Tom,

Thanks for posting. I always bch, and complain about putting my tug into, and out of the water, but when I see it running, it makes it worth it. I pulled out the older sound units, and I'm going to put in a Harbor Models large steam engine unit, and maybe a smoker. Victor's name is "Zoltans Garage".

Retired for now
Is that a piece of railroad rail in Vic's basket? That's some piece of ballast. I could have used that in my Dumas Tuna Clipper. Ha! pete

Pete,

Yep, that is a piece of rail in Victor's puffer . He also uses several large plumbing fittings (he is a plumber), and now a cam from his '68 El Camino . I use four 25lb bags of bird shot from when I used to reload 12 gauge for skeet, plus my battery in my tug.
