WORLD SOARING MASTERS-Sposnsored by the League of Silent Flight, Horizon Hobby, et al
September 22-24, 2006 at the International Aeromodeling Center, Muncie, Indiana, the League of Silent Flight and Horizon Hobby will be sposoring the first World Soaring Masters. Go to www.worldsoaringmasters.com and view the details concerning entry, schedule and prizes. Man-on-Man format with long flight times and lots of rounds to qualify to go to the finals on Sunday, it should be a heck of a show.

I have selected my airframe for the event. It will be a Stork 2 Pro X-Tail from SoaringUSA.com with Futaba radio equipment.

Under 100, but close I have heard, and you are correct Raschow, there is no entry deadline listed. I thought July 1 was it, ut obviously that is not the case.

Contrare KKW, Jo Grini and Vladimir are on that list, sounds kind of worldly to me. Now my geography is kind of rusty, but Norway and Russia seem pretty far away, and from what I know, the Turkish contigent is coming too.

Didn't see JoJo's name in there. I think Gordy has sponsored him for a green card. He is almost an honorary US citizen. Vladimir must be checking up on Barry.
We have had Darryl and Gordy sneak into the country to fly in a few of our comps, as well as a couple of Brits and Germans as well. Hope your comp goes well. Our LSF comp in June was plagued by bad weather. |
