Well in my ever growing quest to try and come out with new and exciting planes I am going straight to the source! If you could choose any 5 jets ever made to be turned into a smaller ducted fan model what would they be??

No little foamie GWS powered things either. I want my EDF to be made of wood, composites, etc., with a big motor, big fan, and lots of watts .

MiG-21.. very small wing if you do it scale.
MiG-23/-27 would be more exotic.
F-8.. The A-7 is a better choice. Fatter fuselage and more wing.
F-111.. well, OK.
A-5.. a good choice. Skinny fuselage, lots of wing.
F-107..would be OK.

Styro cup , split and seamed, 1/8" balsa frame, 1/16" sheet (wrapped), or .020 or thinner styrene sheet, and possible vacformed shell
