RC Helmet Cam

What to do when no bodys around to take pictures and Videos

Make your self a Radio controlled Helmet cam.
Well most of you know me by now and I would look
stuped out there wearing a helmet flying an airplane.
Just think people would say keep away from him as he must
not know how to fly or crashes a lot thats must be why he wearing a helmet.
Well thats why I used a cowboy hat.
I programmed my Futaba 9c so the spring loaded trainer switch is on CH 7 and to trip the camera button by the servo.

Heres the good stuff
Nikon 3700 camera.
Old 7 ch FMA recever.
4 cell pack of 350 ma nimh

Well When I was a little boy my mom told me you could tell the bad guys from the good guys by there hats.
The good guys always ware white hats.

Wow! Who would have thought of a 10 gal. hat for AP? Way to go! When I was a teen, I was cool, after I got married and had kids, I became a nerd somehow. Now that I have grandkids, I've really become a nerd so It doesn't matter what I put on my head they'll thinks it's nerdy. But I don't care, I just laugh with them!

hey, i got one of those! not nearly as nice as yours though. when i wear it my friends think i look like such a dork they will only walk behind me...! they like the videos i take of them skiing though. i was considering wearing it to take video while flying but couldnt muster the courage to wear this silly looking thing down at the park.

Maybe with a 15 gallon hat you could mount the camera inside with just the lense poking out

I noticed you used nimh rather than LiPo.....nice safety design!

Hey, its better than laying your tx down on the ground and videoing your plane as it slowlys crashes while you are putting the camera down and desperately grabbing at your Tx. Don't ask how I know.

Son of Paleface

No I hadn't thought of stamp collecting, I'm too busy taking sunset photos. HehHeh

Actually it wasn't as bad as I made it sound, I picked up the TX in time to make a decent landing and then had my son come out and do the taping.
